just walked out of opening at Brooklyn festival and this flick is astounding. Its a straightforward however compelling story of 2 brothers United Nations agency have drifted apart and therefore the the twists and turns of life that bring them back in-tuned with one another. no one will the anxiety of relationships higher then Team Duplass and clearly the director has absorbed a similar type of off-kilter spin they placed on day to day foibles. i have been a giant fan of all the blokes United Nations agency created this for a number of years however wow did they deliver. The director, Jay Davies, United Nations agency conjointly wrote the script shows his chops and pulls nice performances out of his forged the 2 stars of the film, Linus Phillips ANd Jay Duplass ought to completely win an MTV flick Award for Best Couple. conjointly affected with the written material of Nick Sherman however i am a geek for technical stuff. a really fantastic work -going back tomorrow night to look at it once more

A mixture of comedy and a few lifespan lessons along represent PK. A journey within which you'll learn the life lessons and face the truth of our society in a very totally different manner.

Amir's acting, Anushka's beauty and Sushant's innocence can win your heart. Thanks for creating this film mister. Hirani. At least, somebody, is there do not create movies only for cash. each dialogue, each scene was thus good that you simply can a smile on your face all the time. idolised the simplicity of the moving-picture show. lovely locations, wonderful songs and also the funny dialogues add spice to the moving-picture show.

A must watch the moving-picture show for all.

Laia Costa and Frederick Lau each vie out of hell. Sturla Grøvlen with the hand camera is that the unseen most significant character of this moving picture. Through his eyes the audience is usually near the action. dynamic loyalties, trust, human longings square measure the driving forces of live. typically resulting in happiness, typically to disaster. Victoria is that the marvel of a young Spanish lady, strolling around through the night, in Berlin. interested by the mind of others, open-hearted, simply here at the instant. Everything will (and will) happen to her. one thing in you'll long for her innocent thanks to consider live and to trust in individuals. one thing in you'll - at constant time - feel all the danger of such a state, within which everything will happen. do not let this film pass you unseen!! Sebastian Schipper and Laia Costa might not have too several opportunities to create such a once-in-a-life-movie. Please, Germany, nominate this one for honor - most of it's English spoken anyway.

If you've got an itch for IMAX; then this is the perfect film for you.

Philippe Petit is a French high-wire artist who gained fame in the year 1974 for his high-wire walk between the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center in New York City. "The Walk" revolves around his tentative beginning and his eventual love affair with the Twin Towers.

 A French accented Joseph Gordon-Levitt plays Philippe Petit with earnest. With a well sketched out character at hand, he manages to resonate the emotions fittingly. His chemistry with Charlotte Le Bon (as Annie) was charming while his interaction with Ben Kingsley (as Papa Rudy) were brilliant. Kingsley as expected was a scene stealer while Charlotte Le Bon was rather substandard.

 Clément Sibony (as Jean-Louis) and César Domboy (as Jeff) was impeccably low-key in their supporting roles which played well in keeping the spotlight on the protagonist. James Badge Dale (as Jean- Pierre), Steve Valentine (as Barry Greenhouse) Ben Schwartz (as Albert) and Benedict Samuel (as David) played fundamental parts in keeping the humor alive as we reached the climax of the film.

 "The Walk" is clearly designed with idea of enthralling the viewers in IMAX 3D. You'll find yourself wincing a couple of times and for anyone scared of heights; this film will get you a slightly anxious. The climax is spectacular and not for the faint hearted though the CGI in the wide scenes weren't up to the mark (shoestring budget I hear) as more often than not the images looked rather flat. Cinematography in general was enormously effective in immersing you into the set pieces while costume design were seamlessly complementary.

 With Robert Zemeckis at the helm, much is to be expected. This isn't his finest work but he manages to pull off a well knitted story without going over the hill with dramatic distractions (i.e. exaggerated Twin Towers eulogy). The film even though not fast paced doesn't fall into the realm of boredom though the narratives were a buzz kill for momentum and could have been completely avoided chopping a good 10 minutes off the 123 minute run time. Obviously the censored/cut scenes (one at a pivotal junction) didn't help either.

 If you've got an itch for IMAX; then this is the perfect film for you. It's flawed but you'll forget all of that as you find yourself on the edge of your seat during the breathtaking climax.

"Black Mass" is all but Great

I try not to get my hopes up too much for certain movies, and "Black Mass" (which I got very excited about) just reminds me why.

 Oh, Scott Cooper... how did you manage to make one of the most twisted, unusual, and mysterious gangster stories into an emotionless web of a film? From acting to editing, there was so much wrong that it's almost surprising.

 My main issue was the nonexistence of a certain necessity: stakes. In all great mafia flicks, stakes are essential. Would "Goodfellas" have been as remarkable if it didn't feel like any wrong move would set off a universe-ending set of events? Would the "Godfather" have been considered the greatest film of all time if a war wasn't seconds away from breaking out? "Black Mass" managed to keep a story that easily could've had those steaks from having any at all. This was, of course, caused by the emotionless acting, but more on that in a second. But this film really made me not care if the protagonist (whether you consider that to be Bulger or Connolly) lives or dies; and in a mob movie, that is a worse crime than anything committed on screen.

 So the acting I blame entirely on Cooper. Every single actor did a great job with what they were given, but the problem is that they were given the wrong thing. For example, Depp was probably told to play a silent yet psychotic, friendly yet intimidating crime lord. Did he do that well? Absolutely. Is that who the character was written as? Not at all. Same goes for Joel Edgerton's - who I thought did the best job out of all of the actors - character, Jesse Plemons' character, and even smaller characters like Adam Scott's. All those actors did well, but not in the right parts.

 The list goes on with issues, so let's talk about why the movie got 2 stars rather than zero (therefore, let's talk about the positives). I've heard some critics discuss the overuse of violence in the film. Though there is quite a bit of violence, I thought it was used very tastefully. No blood was used where it didn't seem necessary, and personally, I think that the violence becomes numbing, which takes us even further into the mob guys' mentality on murder. Also, I thought the shooting locations were very well chosen, as they really captured the narrow-mindedness of the lead characters' lives.

 So should you see this movie? -If you love mafia movies of any shape or size, then go see it. -If you love Johnny Depp, wait until it comes out on demand. -If you don't love mafia movies, haven't seen many mafia movies, or just have none of the listed qualities above, then don't see this film.

Thoroughly enjoyable from start to finish

I went to see BB on the day of release with my wife and 17 year old son. I'm not Indian or Pakistani, but white British, so it was fun sat in a cinema full of Pakistanis, to watch a film that could have painted Pakistani in a negative light.

Judging by the murmuring I could her there did seem to be some people during the interval that were not too impressed with the film - slow, boring, blah, blah - but by the end I think everyone left happy.

From a white British guys perspective I thought it was a terrific film, and so did my wife and son. Great story, interesting characters, a ridiculously cute kid who stole the show without saying very much, excellent music, and some scenery that took your breath away.

I thought Salman Kahn was great, much more three dimensional than I was expecting. Kareena Kapoor provided a massive dose of eye-candy and played her part well too, although it would have been nice for that part to have been developed more.

But for me the star of the show - other than Harshaali Malthotra, the little girl - was definitely Nawazuddin Siddiqui. He is one of the most mesmerising actors I've ever seen. He could read the label of a sauce bottle and have everyone transfixed.

In typical Bollywood style the first half was your typical setting-the-scene, which I thought was done very well, and it kept me interested throughout, but after the interval, as soon as Nawazuddin Siddiqui made his appearance, the film took off and didn't let-up until the end.
All-in-all a thoroughly enjoyable film for all the family.
